What is gSPS

gSPS, GIoT Smart Positioning Service, is one of the key GIoT service technologies that delivers accurate indoor and outdoor location data to its specialized LoRa devices. The service employs the patented LoRa RSSI Fingerprint Positioning as its core technology.

How RSSI Fingerprinting Works

When a LoRa device sends out a message, the delivered message will be picked up by many LoRa gateways that bear different sensitivity levels (RSSI) subject to the proximity. If there are {n} LoRa gateways in a network, the RSSI values acquired from a particular indoor or outdoor location will form the RSSI Fingerprint of that location. When there is a large number of LoRa gateways ( > 4) covering a specific area, this fingerprint would be distinctly unique within 3 meters of range.
